MASSAGEMassage Therapy is the manual manipulation of soft tissues (muscle, fascia, tendon, ligament) in order to support health in the body. Using approaches based in the specific knowledge of anatomical structures in the body, especially the musculoskeletal system, Massage Therapy seeks to relax and relieve pain through touch. I use Trigger Point Therapy, Swedish Massage and Deep Tissue or Rehabilitative Massage technique as indicated to address pain, injury, stress & wellness.

SHIATSUShiatsu is a holistic Japanese style of massage that uses direct pressure, rhythmic kneading and passive stretches to give the receiver a light energized sense of relaxation. Shiatsu developed in the early 1900's in Japan from a long lineage of East Asian bodywork practices. I use an assessment of health based in Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine theory to inform the treatment. I use Shiatsu-Anma, Namikoshi Shiatsu & Ampuku Abdominal Therapy techniques to address pain, injury, stress & wellness.

CUPPING (not currently available)Cupping has been used as a folk remedy for thousands of years all around the world. Glass or silicone cups are placed onto the skin using suction to create a vacuum effect. Cups may be left in place, removed quickly or moved along the skin depending on the effect desired. I use cupping to increase the effectiveness of the massage & bodywork I do. It can be added to any session or received as a stand alone treatment.
I follow strict cleaning and disinfection procedures for cups, please ask if you have any questions. |
